Creffield Area  Residents Association © Cara 2011 Social Events 2011 – 2012 CARA holds four social events a year which are open to all members, and non-members are invited to come along and join CARA at the same time.  Apart from the CARA Summer Barbecue or Big Lunch, all events are held on a Thursday evening, in the hope that the largest number of people will be free to attend. 2011 AGM The AGM is held in May, when the President outlines the work of the Executive Committee for the forthcoming year. Items which affect the membership are put to the vote and new members of the Executive Committee are elected. In 2011 the AGM was held on Thursday, 12th May 2011, in the Lady Chapel, St Martin's Church, Hale Gardens.  Following the AGM, Dr Jonathan Oates, Ealing’s Borough Archivist & Local History Librarian, gave CARA’s Inaugural Community Lecture on the history of the Creffield area. The CARA Summer Barbeque or Big Lunch The summer social event is held on the last Sunday of the school term. We invite all local residents to join in, whether they are interested in joining CARA or not. It is an open air event, with games for children and adults, and is open to everyone to come and meet neighbours and join in the fun. The 2011 Summer Barbeque took place on Sunday 17th July, generously hosted by Wasps FC and sponsored by Nando’s and Winkworth. The Annual Dinner The Annual Dinner is held on the third Thursday in November, starting at 8.00 p.m. This year it will take place on Thursday, 17 November 2011 at St Martin's Church Hall, Hale Gardens.
